6.2.2.4 Management Functionality

The management system must provide functionality to enable the metapolicies to specify the desired behaviour of the system with sufficient management operations. Especially the active metapolicies invoke actions on the managed objects, which are in their entirety the management system. Therefore, the system itself must have implemented the functionality to provide these actions for the enforcement of metapolicies. This is comparable to the management functions the management system invokes on behalf of policies on normal managed objects, because metapolicies use the same approach, but with different subjects and targets.
