6.2.2.3 State of Managed Objects

As a consequence of the introduction of new managed objects, the states of these objects must be observed. The information gathered serves as a basic source for the application of metapolicies. With the help of the observation of the state and state transitions of objects, information is risen which triggers active metapolicies or, in case of passive metapolicies, a decision is made whether an action, i.e. state transition, is valid.
